Step into the pastel-hued, art-inspired café and you’ll instantly be struck by its cosy ambience and an extensive all-day dessert and dining menu. Apart from the café and dessert bar’s usual line up of soups, salads, smoothies and sandwiches, Poetry’s third outpost has something new on the menu, something you can’t find anywhere else in the city.

Their interesting all-new black menu has everything from black velvet cake, New York baked cheesecake to mango pancake and black croissant salmon. Coffee connoisseurs, we recommend their Instagram-friendly black latte that tastes pretty amazing.

Chef Amit Sharma who helms the kitchens at Poetry by Love and Cheesecake tells us about what he brings to the table at the newly opened café and dessert bar. “The way I’ve approached the new menu at Poetry is not through a lens, rather a mirror – the food is reflective of the lore and tales of this enchanting locality. The #PaintItBlack menu is all about storytelling, and we let the food speak for itself,” he says.

The next time you walk through the historic lanes of the neighbourhood, this is where you need to eat!
